Wallace Batiste - 1983 to present
Wallace Batiste is President and Manager of W B Construction. Mr. Batiste was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas. While growing up in the 70’s, he attended high school and started working construction part time at the age of 15 years old. While working, Mr. Batiste gained his experience working as a helper with Randle Contractors before becoming a Foreman where he was responsible for the completion of projects totaling over $5,000,000.00 dollars. In 1983, Mr. Batiste bought out Randle Contractors and started W B Construction. With over thirty-five years of construction experience, Mr. Batiste has grown W B Construction to be one of the top minority construction companies in the Southeast Texas area. His day to day responsibilities as President include managing all aspects of WB Construction. He works directly with clients and the company’s management team during the lifecycle of each project to ensure successful completion. He has spent his entire career in the construction industry, bringing a broad-based background in both domestic and international markets, and vertical and horizontal construction. He has expertise in a variety of delivery methods including design-build and brings expertise in a wide range of market segments, many that parallel Mr. Batiste’s current markets and others that present opportunities for future growth.
Karen Batiste - 2003 to present
Co - Owner
Currently, Karen is a co-owner of WB Construction and has been employed with the company since 2003. She has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. In addition, Karen is a trained Quickbooks Enterprise/ Quickbooks online operator. Karen is currently responsible for the electrical component of the company’s design build process. Also, she is over our AR/ AP depts. Moreover, she handles payroll for the company as well. Thus, Karen is a well-rounded team member in our organization that wears many hats!
Desmond Simon - 1993 to present
Desmond Simon has worked in the construction field since 1993. Mr. Simon has been involved in projects ranging from Government IDIQ projects to Commercial Buildings. Responsibilities include management of all office and field staff, cost control/analysis, estimating, schedule development and project logistics. He is also responsible for coordinating the work of subcontractors to ensure that the projects meet the client’s expectations. Mr. Simon has managed, estimated and assisted in over 75 projects during his 25 years with WB Construction.
Joe Winiarz - 2006 to present
With over 50 years of construction experience, Joe is a WB Construction Project Superintendent with a strong background of construction excellence. Joe is responsible for managing crews, preparing submittals, scheduling subcontractors, and all forms of jobsite coordination. His wide range of experience has equipped him with great knowledge and skill in nearly every aspect of construction, including for building, multi-purpose, and commercial projects. Joe’s background includes multiple elementary schools, new Church construction, new Family Life Centers, Multi-purpose buildings and new commercial building construction and renovations.
